Tyson Mutrux
Tyson is a third year law student at Saint Louis University School of Law. He serves on the Student Bar Association executive board as SLU’s American Bar Association Representative and is also the Student Chair for the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis Young Lawyers Division.
Tyson obtained his Bachelors of Science in Business with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Missouri, graduating magna cum laude. During his undergraduate studies, he served as the VP of Public Relations and later as President for the Mizzou College Republicans.
Tyson is currently in the United States Army Reserves and works part-time for Brown & Brown, LP in St. Louis, Missouri. He served two years on active duty with the 7228th Medical Support Unit and also worked for State Farm Insurance as a Fire Claim Representative.
Tyson hopes his real-world experience and background in Marketing will offer a different perspective than that of the traditional law student. Like the others at Social Media Law Student, he understands the importance of marketing yourself as a law student and as an attorney, and hopes this will reflect in his posts.
Although Tyson will discuss a variety of topics, he will primarily focus on Electronic Discovery and how it is/will alter the way law schools teach today.
