2. “Have you checked out my legal blog?”

4. “I’m a thought leader.”

5. “I was the first social media lawyer expert guru. Have you read my book?”

6. “I usually don’t follow the first night but for you I’ll make an exception to the rule.”

8. During a disagreement they tweet “#12(b)(6)” and sign off.

9. On their first tweet they say: “I’m a lawyer. Call me for legal advice.”

10. They send you a DM that says, “Please read my article I wrote on JD Supra.”

11. Warning: Defamation, Libel, Slander… “Damn you twits, get off my lawn!”

12. They engage in metaphysical discussions over whether you own your tweets.

13. Links to twitter’s terms of use and twitter privacy policies.

14. They refuse to move their legal arguments to a DM.

15. “Presenting at law firm today on SM.”

16. They’re concerned about whether you’re tweeting copyright infringing work.

17. All you hear: “Client development. Client development. Client development.”

18. They request documents in WordPerfect format.

19. Any mentioning of the Rule Against Perpetuities or Rule in Shelly’s Case.

20. “#lawschoolfail”

21. Rockets Matter! Zooooooom! SaaS! Clouds! ZOoooooom!

22. “Have you heard my legal podcast?”

23. A few random tweets about food safety and policy.

24. “How far apart were the vehicles at the time of the collision?”

25. A sprinkling of tweets about sports, food, and music – just to make you think they are human!

26. “Twitter is not a waste of time. I have not yet begun to procrastinate.”

27. “Was cited in another publication today.”

28. They thank you for RT’s.

29. They are wearing a suit in their Twitter Photo.

30. They tweet the SCOTUS blawg.

31. “Policies, Laws, Codes, Rules” – four words for the same thing.

32. Their Twitter Profile links to their LinkedIn profile or Legal Blog.

33. “It’s bLAWg, not blog.”

34. Not Internet Slang: FRCP, FRE, MPC, UCC, CFR, and FRB.
