Social Media for Attorneys Series (Part 3)

Our series on Social Media has reached the third week, and we have yet to discuss a specific website or service in detail.  So now, it is time to dive in and get started.  The focus of this discussion will be using Blogs to gain and share knowledge within certain communities.

For this post, we do not have to assume that you currently write for or operate a blog of your own.  That will come later.  This is about taking advantage of the blogs that are already out there, and that other people are using to get information.

  1. Hello Rex, I joined the social network at http://www.myparalegalspace.com and it has been one of the most anticlimactic experiences ever!

Do you know anyone who has had any success with networking on this site?

Also, with LegallyMinded there is somewhat of a lack of reciprocation when you reach out to other members. Not as bad but you would think that others with a legal profession in common would want to actively network!

    What has been your experience?

I have not heard of any success stories with either site. Best bet for lawyers seeking to network, as of now, is LinkedIn. Other sites are trying but seem to lack the technology to make networking easy and efficient. Efficiency is a top concern for those in the legal profession. Has anyone else had better results elsewhere?
