Doug,

I agree that my blog would be better if it covered a substantive legal area. However, I cannot put the carriage before the horses - I'm not even licensed to practice law! (let alone an expert in a substantive legal field) Once things settle, and I graduate from law school, I'm sure a blog with more substantive legal issues will be created. People who I've met from here will look to that bog as well. This is only my hobby. Law school and focusing on the beginning of my legal career are my first priority. For now, you'll just have to wait and look for my comments on various other blogs!

Thank you,
Rex

Rex -
Great looking site. With all the key elements needed for a professional blog.

I do have a few suggestions.

First, I dislike ads on professional blogs. The few dollars they earn take away from an effective visual presence. (they look terrible.) You also have little control over what ads show up. You may not like some of what shows up. You need to balance whatever income it generates compared to the damage it may do to your professional look.

Second, as a law student I expected your blog would cover a substantive legal area. Don't get me wrong, I think you put up some good content. But social media for lawyers is less likely to improve your marketability than a civil procedure blog. I am sure that this blog is a great learning experience for you. Now imagine that that all that learning and the great connections were related to substantive law instead.
