Jessica Dobias
Jessica is currently a student at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago seeking her joint JD/LLM in IT & Privacy Law. Jessica is also an active member in the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the Latino Law Student Association. She previously worked for the National Law Review as a legal research intern.
Jessica graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with an honors degree in Government and a minor in Spanish and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. While in her undergraduate studies, Jessica had the opportunity to study abroad in Santander, Spain where she refined her Spanish skills and developed a new appreciation for social media and the internet as a tool for communication. Jessica began developing a greater knowledge of social media through her position as an IT Specialist and while working at Apple, Inc. Since building her first website in 2001 and writing her first blog post in 2005, Jessica has maintained a connection with her family and friends throughout the world through social media and sees social media as an invaluable tool for bridging the gap between economic, political, cultural and educational barriers.
