New Secure Platform for Communication Between Attorneys and Their Clients: Dialawg

May 28th, 2009 | By Rex Gradeless | Category: Featured, Practice Management

dialawgDialawg is a secure platform for various types of communication between attorneys and their clients.  As email is a vulnerable medium, Dialawg fits in this space as an easy way to protect sensitive information.

Some of their big features include (data is always transmitted over SSL): messaging, file sharing, file revisions and comments, integration with Outlook, iPhone, and most major mail programs, and a telephone service for sending voice messages.

Below is some information form their website.

Take A Look Around Dialawg:

Dialawg is…

Perfectly Organized

With Dialawg, all of your information is right at your fingertips. Your most recent activity is presented first, and your contacts, matters and files are quickly and easily located. With everything in one place, you can work faster and smarter—spending less time on filing and archiving and more time on your client’s needs.

Made for Attorneys

Finally, you have a system designed especially for you and your work habits—so say goodbye to square peg software solutions for your legal practice. No matter how large or small your firm, or the nature of your work, you have total access and control over your most sensitive information. You can even select an organizational strategy with labels that are right for you. And Dialawg looks and feels great, too.

Totally Available

Just because you’re out of the office doesn’t necessarily mean you should be out of touch. Dialawg is available when and where you want it—or not, based upon your selectable status within the system†—so you can reach (and be reached) by message, file transfer, phone message†, instant message†, or even by traditional “snail mail” with the click of a button†.

Multi-Platform Friendly

Dialawg resides on our secure system, so there is nothing to download, install, or update on your local machine. Since you don’t need a VPN to connect to Dialawg—you can use a standard browser from your PC, Mac®, iPhone® or Blackberry® to communicate effortlessly. And with simple IMAP integration†, you can use your favorite mail programs, like Microsoft Outlook®, to send and receive secure messages.

Composing a Message Example:

  • Visual confirmation allows you to add recipients quickly from your contacts, so your messages are properly directed.
  • Quick compose feature allows you to send a message outside of Dialawg simply by entering an email address.
  • Unlimited file attachments—up to 1 GB each—means you have plenty of space to send and receive large electronic documents quickly.
  • 128-bit SSL connection means that your sensitive information is encrypted during transmission between you and your clients.

  1. An interesting solution, but for someone already familiar with a web based DMS that lets me collaborate on documents with clients, it seems nothing more that a secured chat. For me it wouldn’t do much since I already use NetDocuments but for someone with an ancient DMS or without one at all it seems nice.
