Craigslist Bartering Chickens for Legal Services?

Missouri Lawyers Weekly reports that a Kansas City lawyer used Craigslist, a free online network, to barter for legal services.
The Craigslist post read:
“Would like to barter legal services, such as handling traffic tickets, DUIs, contracts, leases, powers of attorney, small claims, small business, miscellaneous legal forms, simple living wills etc.”
Craigslist is an online network of communities featuring free classified advertisements with sections devoted to jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, gigs, resumes, and a discussion forum. These categories can be narrowed to specific geographic locations so that users can more easily narrow their search for goods or services.
Craigslist allows anyone to post free advertisements for goods and services – including legal services. The online network may be a useful way for practitioners to reach out to others. Many lawyers have used Craigslist to hire new lawyers and legal professionals. Other lawyers are using Craigslist as a way to promote their practice by reaching out to those who have something to trade!
Because the owner of the Craigslist post above did not respond for an interview, Missouri Lawyers Weekly interviewed St. Louis attorney John Tresslar who has 24 years of experience in both criminal and civil litigation. Tresslar has used Craigslist to barter for his legal services and to reach out to potential clients. Tresslar has bartered to have his house panted and even bartered his legal services for an electrician. Other lawyers in the article had received beef, eggs, motorcycles, and chickens!
The article went on to discuss the potential ethical implications of lawyers who barter for legal services and reminded lawyers to report the goods or services received on their taxes.
Have you used Craigslist to provide legal services? Any services? Have you bartered for legal services? What about using Craigslist to hire other legal professions?
