A New Social Network for Legal Community: JD Diversity

Apr 11th, 2009 | By Rex Gradeless | Category: Featured, Lead Article, Social Networking, Web 2.0

diversityjdThe latest social network in the legal community seeks to promote diversity in the legal profession.  JD Diversity has blogs, articles, student corner, events calendar, and job corner pages to foster the development of its members in the legal community.

JD Diversity is committed to making the legal profession more inclusive and diverse. JD Diversity seeks to fulfill this commitment by providing an online community of diverse law students, lawyers, professors, and judges.

Besides being the first-ever social network for minority and female lawyers and law students, JDDIVERSITY.COM provides a wealth of information including job listings, fellowship listings, blogs, articles, an event calendar, and a discussion forum.

JD Diversity’s social networking community allows members to create professional profiles and interact with others who share their interests and practice areas. This allows members to locate potential mentors and expand their networks. In providing this tool, JD Diversity aims to ultimately help diverse law students and attorneys achieve full inclusion and reach their highest potential within the legal community.

*JD Diversity views diversity as encompassing race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and familial status.

Note: It is completely free for law students, attorneys, professors, and judges to join JD Diversity, and from now until May 20, 2009 each new law student member will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a free MBE bar review course provided by Kaplan-PMBR!!
